The whole CD contains so much of symbolism that it would be "foolish" not to recognize the hidden meaning of each song.
For instance, Liberation... so touching, so spiritual and mystical; Anne Frank wrote in her diary these words and Mike Oldfield knew exactly how to express it in music.
Liberation
When the birds sing outside
And you see the trees

To be out in the open air
When the sky is so blue, then
Oh then, I wish for so much!
And the best remedy
For those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy
Is to go outside
Somewhere, where they can be quite alone
With the heavens, nature and God.
So in this sense, Liberation is not related to the word "liberal" but rather related to the meaning of what To Be Free IS.
Liberation in eastern religions, another word for enlightenment or moksha (also called mukti). Enlightenment (or Brightening) broadly means "the acquisition of new wisdom or understanding".
In religious use, enlightenment is most closely associated with South and East Asian religious experience, being used to translate words such as (in Buddhism) Bodhi or satori, or (in Hinduism) moksha. The concept does also have parallels in the Abrahamic religions (in the Kabbalah tradition in Judaism, in Christian mysticism, and in the Sufi tradition of Islam).
Spiritual enlightenment: this experience is peace, love, happiness, fulfillment, or simply known to the spiritually advanced as the Universal mind, Oneness, or Reality. It is infinite existence. As children, being untrained, are minds are able to easily perceive and believe the surreal. However, due to the need of raising children based on acceptable norms, a wall is slowly built to limit the mind's perception and potentials.
Many individuals have claimed to reach a state of enlightenment, including many famous yogis and meditation masters from well-known spiritual traditions. Mahatma Gandhi was said to be an enlightened seeker of truth. Siddharta Guatama, the Buddha, is believed by Buddhists to have reached the "ultimate state of enlightenment" or "pari-nirvana."
Narayana Guru (1856 to 192
, the prolific poet, philosopher and social reformer is believed to have attained enlightenment, i.e. an absolute state of wisdom, after his several years of education in languages, the scriptures of the different religions, yoga, and experiences with ascetic life, culminating in his long and meditative recluse in Maruthwamala hills in South India. Narayana Guru's philosophical masterpiece "Atmopade´sa ´Satakam" (one hundred verses of self-instruction) is primarily the Guru's poetic expression of his philosophy of universal love, emanating from his experienced state of primordial knowledge of the Universe, and his consequent ability to view the human race as one of a species, in unqualified equality and without any racial, religious, caste or other discriminations whatsoever.
This also has to do with awakening (a process synonymous with spiritual growth) and awareness.
