anläßlich des geburtstags von mike haben einige leute von tubular.net ein doppelalbum mit eigener musik und mixes von mike veröffentlicht. reinhören lohnt sich!

Ich habe da auch schonmal reingehört und war ziemlich enttäuscht. Ich wundere mich immer wieder über das, was die Oldfield-Fans, die im Internet Ihre musikalischen Statements abliefern, mit seine Musik assozieren. Mich erinnert das leider eher an einen MDR-Soundtrack.
Da haben mir einige musikalische Forenbeiträge, die auf tubular.net zu finden sind wesentlich besser gefallen.

Ich finde es schade, dass die Bonus CD nicht im Download bereich zu finden ist, sondern dass jeder Titel separat runtergeladen werden muss. Ist wohl so, da es unterschiedliche Formate sind.....

Wenn sich Fans zusammen tun, um kreativ zu sein, find' ich das grundsätzlich erfreulich.
Ich habe jetzt einen Teil der Stücke angehört (ist ja eine Menge Musik, die da zusammengetragen wurde) und bin überrascht, dass viele der Mitwirkenden eher vom Oldfield der 90er beeinflusst sind (evtl empfinde ich das aber auch nur so, wer weiß). Das meine ich nicht wertend, das ist alles Geschmackssache, aber ich bin aus anderen Fan-Communities wie zB bei Yes gewohnt, dass die 70er da klar höher im Kurs stehen, auch bei der Musik, die aus Fan-Kreisen kommt.

Danke sehr !!! ...welll i don't think it's a perfect piece of guitar but i've tried to do my best ! Yes vocoder is immediately something to remind the songs from QE2 or Five Miles out !
Tangerine is one of my favourite too ! ..with Vangelis , JMJarre etc etc..

This track was inspired by the work called Le Consortium d'Elgaria of my friend Anxe Artist ! It's a great painting plus a short space story that enriches this painting !
" ... l'énergie de mon vaisseau est au plus bas, je dois trouver des cristaux de Gibs ! j'ai repéré une planète susceptible d'en posséder, je dois tenter le coup.
Arrivé sur la planète, je
lance un scan complet de celle-ci. Et là! surprise! il y a une forme Hoctogonale et plate dissimulé dans cette végétation luxuriante, les cristaux attendront.....
Ma navette de transport se pose à proximité, j'avance d'un pas prudent mais, décidé. Arrivé sur place une brume épaisse s'installe elle est d'une couleur rosée, je ne peux plus bouger! la brume m'enveloppe et me voilà transporté dans une piéce inconnue, mais ou suis-je!

Je reprends mes esprits et compris rapidement que je suis face à une forme d'intelligence inconnu, à ce moment-là! un rayon rose étincelant surgit du sol ! je ne suis plus seul.. trois être étrange se dressent devant moi. Une longue est passionnante conversation commença, j'avais découvert le Consortium d'Elgaria. ..."
